Pimpollos Academy has been a dream of the Alvarado Martinez family for many years. Anabertha, Gladys, Amy and their families have worked diligently to curate this dream. From their early beginnings over thirty years ago in the Portland neighborhood they knew that supporting families with their children’s education and creating a healthy foundation would lead to a lifetime of success. “Pimpollos” means seedling in Spanish, a name of endearment that Anabertha has for her three grandchildren. We decided to name our learning center Pimpollos Academy to honor that name and it’s meaning to our family-the seeds that we are sowing with love, care and compassion to cultivate future loving, caring and compassionate leaders.
